History:

Miraco labs were established in 1992 to serve the testing of air conditioning units for research & development purpose. It is the first accredited A/C lab in Egypt since 2005.The labs are accredited by The Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) according to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard. Also it is the first A/C lab in Egypt to get the ESMA (Emirates Authority for Standardization & Metrology) recognition certificate in 2012.

Scope of Testing:
Performance, Acoustics, Vibration, Reliability and Safety testing for A/C units including split, package, WRAC, fan coils, air cooled, water cooled, water chillers & refrigeration units from residential, light commercial to commercial units.
Current Labs:
In which residential and light commercial A/C units up to 5 Tons refrigerant are tested using Air-Enthalpy testing methodology. This method depends on calculating the air volume flow rate supplied by the tested unit and the Enthalpy difference between the air inlet & outlet for the unit under test.
In which residential and light commercial A/C units up to 5 Tons refrigerant are tested using heat balance methodology. This method depends on balancing the heat loads inside the testing rooms with the cooling effect of the unit under test.
In which A/C commercial units up to 25 Tons refrigerant are tested using Air-Enthalpy testing methodology. This method requires calculating the amount air supplied by the tested unit and the Enthalpy difference between the air & outlet of the unit under test.
In which noise sources are tested from 63Hz up to 10,000Hz using 1/3 Octave band frequency analysis by measuring the sound pressure inside the reverberation room.
In which residential and light commercial A/C units up to 5 Tons refrigerant are tested for reliability & safety tests according to Carrier & various universal standards.
In which residential, light commercial and commercial A/C units are tested by measuring structural & piping vibration that prevent Miraco products from cracks failure and helps in significant noise reduction.
